Waterloo Region Police Service Community Flagraising

A Place To Call Safe

A conversation about safer space for the LGBTQ2+ community in Waterloo Region. 6:30pm – 8:45pm. Waterloo Public Library – Auditorium; 35 Albert Street The evening will start with a presentation by Outlook Study researchers on data related to hate crimes, violence, victimization and feelings of safety experienced by Waterloo Region’s LGBTQ2+ community members.  We will then give participants an opportunity to respond.  We will ask participants to consider where they feel most safe to be themselves in Waterloo Region and what it is about these spaces that make them feel safe.  People can choose to join a discussion group, create a collage or write a short piece about a place they feel safe.  With permission, we will post artwork and stories on the BTS website.

Pride Prom – 10th Anniversary

Pride Prom is an annual event that is done in partnership with OK2BME and the City of Kitchener Youth Action Council! This year it also officially a part of tri-Pride youth celebrations! 5th Annual Queer Night Out

Crown Plaza Hotel Ballroom 105 King St E, Kitchener. Queer Night Out is proud to host the 5th Annual Pride Party at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Downtown Kitchener! Thanks to the generosity of sponsors, we hope to make this party not only more affordable, but the best one yet! Tickets are available online in advance or at the door: $10 Early Bird Tickets until May 25 $12 Advanced Tickets until June 2, 7pm $15 at the door. The Pride Party is 19+, so bring your valid photo ID with you! Note: This event is being run on a cost-recovery basis (i.e. not looking to make a profit :)). Any additional funds will be used to help defray the costs of future social events as part of the Queer Night Out community initiative.

LESBO BINGO – 15 Year Anniversary!

Despite its playful name, Lesbo Bingo is for EVERYONE! Your host, Shelley Secrett invites you to dust off your lucky trolls and plan to be at Chainsaw on June 6 when doors open at 5:30pm. Games start at 6:30pm! Your ticket price buys you all the cards you need to play 5 games of Bingo! You will have the opportunity to purchase EXTRA Jackpot cards! Everyone under 19 years of age must say goodnight directly after the event ends and head home. After 9pm, ID is required and the venue becomes 19+ only.

Hosted by the glamorous Jasmine Flowers and dazzling Victoria Parks, the Tri-Citie’s own drag queens, doing what they do so well, fundraising! This event is for all genders and there will be a variety of sexy prizes for your enjoyment! Tickets go on sale on May 6th at 8am! $15 each! All proceeds going to your tri-Pride!
